About Valata
Founded in October of 2018, Valata is a 501(c)3 designed to enable the greater Seattle area’s aspiring fashion professionals to present their skills, talents, and products to the world. Shortly after its inception, Valata acquired a trademark agreement with Empero, LLC for the production rights to Seattle Fashion Week® in order to pursue its goals to the fullest. Through events, runway shows, educational workshops, scholarships, and more, we hope to give Seattle fashion professionals of all kinds the knowledge and the platform to build their brand and be able to put their talent in front of an audience.
Our ultimate vision is a full circle ecosystem that makes a positive impact on the Seattle fashion industry and local economy while simultaneously offering Seattleites fun fashion experiences!
Runway Shows
Seattle Fashion Week® is the headline event where we aim to present the largest single collection of fashion talent to as many interested buyers as possible!
Workshops
Designers, models, hair and makeup artists, photographers, and all other manner of aspiring fashion professionals can benefit from direct, experienced teaching by current industry & business professionals. Whether you want to create your brand, learn how to market yourself, desire insight into the industry, or want to grow your skills, these workshops are designed to highlight all these areas and more!
Networking Events
Seattle Fashion Week® started the largest fashion networking group in Seattle in 2015 with over 400 people attending a single event to meet and exchange ideas on fashion and collaboration in the area. We aim to build on this momentum and offer continued networking opportunities for industry professionals.
Scholarships
With help from our benefactors, Valata seeks to offer select scholarships to fashion professionals.
